Poem of the month

“Words”
Some people say we choose our fate
Run and hurry before it’s too late
We say one mean thing which can lead to another
Some to our friends and some to our brothers

The mean kids teased and taunted
And those are things which made us haunted
The reunion comes and we stay the same
While the cool kids got the fortune and fame

Do they see what they’ve done?
They’ve destroyed the next Einstein or the next tonne
They discouraged the future with these words
Because they teased those kids, the nerds

No cure for the common cold can be found
Because they depressed all around
The future teacher who loved to teach
Destroyed from saying a sentence of speech

So those people who were nerds
Never got what they deserved
To be a leader or to say a speech
Because these kids could never reach

“Move it loser because that’s what you will always be,
You will never amount to anything”
These words created a decree
They went and did a killing spree

They sprained the spirits of the enthusiastic
And turned them into something tragic
So I conclude with this lesson
You cool kids should be confessin’

“Sorry what I said, it was mean
Because now I’ve changed the scheme of things
The next president afraid to stand
Because I got very out of hand”

Words do matter as you can see
They indeed change the scheme of things
So think before you say a word
To hurt the sad and misunderstood nerd.
