We have had a great year at Sunday Circle. On May 10th, 2009, Sunday Circle finished it's session.
All the groups (Juniors, Teen girls and Teen boys) put on presentations explaining what they liked
most about Sunday Circle. Each group sang their favorite song with Ariella, and then we all sat down
to a delicious brunch. Sunday Circle will start again next September. See you then, and have a great summer!
Since I only started this site recently, I didn't get a chance to share our matzah baking
experience. The Matzah Baking was at Downsview Park. First, we went through a step by step process on how matzah is
made. Then we started our time travel experience! First, we were introduced to the doctor who was behind the science,
and we were on our way! Our journey started with a Jew and a Mitzri, and we were shown how the Jews were beaten if they
didn't work hard enough. Next, we saw Miriam hiding baby Moshe in the river. We continued to Pharaoh's court, and they
were plagued by the macot. At the end, we went through the Yam Suf, and our adventure ended.
I thought I should mention the volunteer night that was on Monday May 25, 2009. It was so nice to
see all the volunteers together. There were some great speakers, such as Rabbi Kaplan, Mr. Tanenbaum, and others. It was
very moving to hear the parents speak about the Friendship Circle, and to hear about it from Ryan and Josh, two special
friends who are part of the Friendship Circle. There was a moving video presentation, which showed how much Lubavitch does.
It was truly a night to remember.
