Mayday Parade’s honest music strikes deep within your core, and resonates deep, emotional lyrics. Many of their songs, especially the acoustic versions, leave you in tears and wanting—needing—more. A merging of two young Tallahassee, Florida bands in 2005 brought Mayday Parade onto the indie-rock scene. Contrary to some of their songs, band-members Derek Sanders (lead vocals, keyboard, acoustic guitar), Alex Garcia (lead guitar), Jeremy Lenzo (bass, vocals), and Brooks Betts (rhythm guitar) have a real zest for life and bring an indescribable energy to the stage. They love to have the audience engaged and possess the quality we want our favourite bands to have—a deep respect, gratitude, and love for their fans.

The boys are incredibly hard working and persistent. As a small proof of this statement, Songkick recognized Mayday Parade as the hardest working band of 2010, with 194 bookings and 74,000 miles logged in the entire year, with Willie Nelson and Lady Gaga ranking #7 and #8 in comparison.

Mayday Parade is the proud creators of 5 studio albums, with the Fearless record label, and dozens of top-of-the-chart singles. They’ve covered several popular songs, including Jason Derulo’s “In My Head” and Queen’s “We Are the Champions” for the compilation album Punk Goes Classic Rock.

This summer the band is booked to perform in the world famous Van’s Warped Tour.

They continue to produce great music and heart-warming music that is definitely worth checking out.

Happy Listening,
Atara
